Is service experience required for a contract?
Conscription or military experience is not required to enter into a contract. Those who have not previously served in the army are also accepted for contracts, provided they are of age and are physically fit. This is a common misconception that “they won’t take you without an urgent one”: in fact, the path is open to those who do not have a service mark.
The approach is logical: the army needs not only already trained, but also motivated candidates who can be trained. The absence of shoulder straps in the past does not put an end to contract service - the missing ones are trained.

Civilian professions and skills are often directly applied. Drivers, mechanics, welders, electricians, doctors, communications and IT specialists are in demand in specialized positions - here civilian experience becomes an advantage.
If you have a working specialty, it is worth indicating this when applying: perhaps there will be a position for you where your experience will be applied without long retraining. This selection is beneficial to both parties.
